Dr. Warren Gill (Ph.D.) has 40 years experience and a national reputation in the cattle industry. He has been a leader in micronutrient research, having implemented programs in assessment and outreach during 25 years of service with the University of Tennessee and University of Kentucky agricultural extension services. Until stepping down to focus on AgGenetics, he was chair of one of the largest Agribusiness and Agriscience programs in the South at MTSU, including a large beef herd, research dairy and international crop collaborations. He has also owned and operated a commercial cattle ranch for 40 years.
Dr. James West (Ph.D.) runs an independently funded, world class lab at Vanderbilt University, with over 20 employees and over $5 million in annual funding. He has written more than 100 peer reviewed publications, which have been cited more than 2200 times. Dr. West’s expertise lies in two main areas: solving complex genetic engineering problems, and using mass data collection and analysis technologies as a means of unbiased discovery. He has an international reputation for using these skills in human medicine, and now with AgGenetics is bringing them to bear on problems in agriculture. He received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996.
Mr. Lindstrom is a registered Angus breeder with 30 years experience raising cattle. He is one of the most prize winning registered Angus breeders in Alabama history. Mr. Lindstrom has had a successful career managing large seed stock operations in Indiana, Alabama, and Illinois. He has extensive experience in embryo transfer, artificial insemination, and animal husbandry. He is well connected to a network of colleagues to stay in tune to new trends in the beef industry.
Dr. Meadows is a Professor Emeritus of Animal Science at the University of Tennessee. He received his Ph.D. in Equine Nutrition from Texas A&M University. He was also an Extension Horse Specialist for the University of Tennessee. Dr. Meadows has published more than 600 nutrition and related horse management papers in both popular and professional journals. Dr. Meadows has been a consultant for several major companies including Provesta Corporation, a subsidiary for Phillips Petroleum Company.
Alan Gill is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. degree in Agribusiness. He has been in the cattle industry for more than 30 years and has managed and directed commercial cattle auctions for many years.
Mr. Arzonetti is a corporate and securities attorneys with over 15 years of experience advising startups and public companies throughout their life cycles including project financings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, licensing agreements and corporate governance. Mr. Arzonetti has been involved in numerous transactions for the purchase and sale of businesses including banks, internet companies, clean technology companies and telecommunications companies. In addition to being an attorney, Mr. Arzonetti is also a CPA and practiced as a tax accountant for several years. He received his LLM in tax from the University of Miami, his JD from the University of Texas School of Law and his BS from Duke University.
Dr. Caulder is a member of the AgGenetics Advisory Board and advises on business and technical matters. Dr. Caulder is the Managing Director and Executive Chairman at Finistere Ventures II, LLC. Often referred to as the “father of agricultural biotechnology”, Dr. Caulder has an unparalleled record of success in the life sciences industry. Dr. Caulder was chairman and CEO of Mycogen, a start-up plant sciences company, which has a market capitalization of $1.2 billion when acquired by Dow Agro Sciences. Since then he has held leadership positions in a number of successful life sciences companies including Myelos Pharmaceuticals, Advanced Stent Technologies, Inc., and Athenix, Inc.
